Class Outing on Thursday?

Hey you guys, Jude suggested something in the cbox, but judging by our excellent spamming skills, im quite sure that it would be flushed out soon. So i shall just post it here.

Is anybody interested in having a class dinner before Flamenco Exposure as a class? Due to our low budget that will be further discussed tomorrow, we would need a relatively cheap place to eat. haha. therefore, KAP seems the most reasonable.

(I re-wrote the whole thing, so if you spot any silly grammar mistakes or anything, its all me. haha. not jude.)

alrighty! so we've reached the end of week 4.. yep.. and we've completed LA FPS project so far.. and oh.. some people have alr taken part of IH's load off their shoulders.. lucky shitzx la you all.. haha.. anyway.. my purpose in blogging today is to update you ppl about upcoming activities your super awesome welfare reps have come up with..

VALENTINE'S DAY
so as you know.. v day is coming.. i mean.. can't you feel it.. love is in the air.. ok.. nvm.. anyway.. so for this year's valentine's day, jude and i have decided to make everyone feel LOVED.. how so? well, all we need you to do.. is to bring a v day gift (about 3-5 bucks) on FRIDAY, 13th FEB, and we will exchange gifts.. like in a lucky draw manner.. you know how it works right? nvm, if you don't.. you'll get a gift anyway.. haha.. so yes.. REMEMBER TO GO GET A NICE PRESENT FOR YOUR EVEN NICER CLASSMATE. THEY WILL LOVE YOU AS MUCH AS YOU LOVE THEM!

ok.. according to audie, our class fund has been unfrozen.. so we won't have cash flow problems anymore.. and err.. what some ppl in class are proposing.. is to reconsider the clas tshirt idea.. since we can spend the $$ now, why not go make a class tee.. some classes have personalised class products alr lor.. and we.. we don't have anything.. how can?? so.. let's have a class tshirt alright? people who are STRONGLY against the idea.. pls let me or jude know.. only if there are no objections will we approach miss soon on this matter:)

I guess we all agree that the concert yesterday was really entertaining, in particular the Chinese dance segment.. kudos to YIDA!!! the rest (Genie, Zhao Pei and Wanying) did an awesome job too!!! Random Notices

1) Our Ct reps, Daryl and Taro have kindly sat through the lecture to take notes for everyone regarding the Maldives CIP trip. Please read through the post after this one for more information :D

2) There has been some changes to the Chem Redox ppt notes. I will postthe changes once I am informed of it.

3) Please remember to bring the food tomorrow and for a certain someone, please remember to bring your oranges! haha.

4) I realised that no one has commented on the Geog blog yet. Please do remember that you will have to comment at least 5 times throughout the blogging period, so start when you can.

5) Note that the tentative timing for the end of celebrations tomorrow will be 1130am and that we are privileged to not have to cut paper :D hehe. Concert will be in the hall inc ase you get lost. and I dont think there is sufficient time to go back to your secondary schools :(

CIP - MALDIVES!

Hello peeps just in case you wanna go for the Maldives CIP (12/03/09 Thursday - 22/03/09 Sunday), your beloved CIP reps have gotten the info on this trip.

Cost:
For Singaporeans and PR- $815 (you can use edusave to pay)
For Foreigners- $1680 (you can apply for a $200 subsidy from MOE)

Okay here are some terms and conditions you have to fulfill before you can join this CIP

YOU MUST:
1) Know how to swim
2) Survive 36-42 degrees of vitamin D from the sun for 9 days
3) Survive without your handphone cause there's no reception (you shouldnt bring any electronic devices along except for your camera)
4) Eat fish.
5) Must be committed to the meetings every Sunday before the CIP.
6) Must be physically fit (meaning have to go and see doctor for check up and fill up some form)
7) Must be willing to give up your March holidays

Travelling time to the island that we are going to is 14 hours in total (7 hours aeroplane ride + 7 hours boat ride)

Basically you are going to an island which is out of bounds to outsiders except for you guys cause you're doing CIP.

So we will go there and help out the people there. Some people might teach the kid in the schools there. There will not be any resorts for those going to stay in. So... you will stay in one of the houses that the locals stay in and we will experience how they live everyday.

You will have to wake up at 5.00am every morning.

Btw because you are under MOE you are not allowed to swim in the water.

Then there will be one night when you will entertain the locals there and another night when we will cook for all the locals there.

There will also be a soccer match between the local kids there and those going. (usually ends as 15-0)

If the weather permits you will also go for a fishing trip on the last day.

If im not wrong you will also get to visit some of the other islands (one of them is the size of a football field)

So that summarises some of the stuff you will be doing if you go for the CIP

If you are interested in going, you can go to the general office and pick up a form which you MUST hand in by next wednesday.
