CIP - MALDIVES!

Hello peeps just in case you wanna go for the Maldives CIP (12/03/09 Thursday - 22/03/09 Sunday), your beloved CIP reps have gotten the info on this trip.

Cost:
For Singaporeans and PR- $815 (you can use edusave to pay)
For Foreigners- $1680 (you can apply for a $200 subsidy from MOE)

Okay here are some terms and conditions you have to fulfill before you can join this CIP

YOU MUST:
1) Know how to swim
2) Survive 36-42 degrees of vitamin D from the sun for 9 days
3) Survive without your handphone cause there's no reception (you shouldnt bring any electronic devices along except for your camera)
4) Eat fish.
5) Must be committed to the meetings every Sunday before the CIP.
6) Must be physically fit (meaning have to go and see doctor for check up and fill up some form)
7) Must be willing to give up your March holidays

Travelling time to the island that we are going to is 14 hours in total (7 hours aeroplane ride + 7 hours boat ride)

Basically you are going to an island which is out of bounds to outsiders except for you guys cause you're doing CIP.

So we will go there and help out the people there. Some people might teach the kid in the schools there. There will not be any resorts for those going to stay in. So... you will stay in one of the houses that the locals stay in and we will experience how they live everyday.

You will have to wake up at 5.00am every morning.

Btw because you are under MOE you are not allowed to swim in the water.

Then there will be one night when you will entertain the locals there and another night when we will cook for all the locals there.

There will also be a soccer match between the local kids there and those going. (usually ends as 15-0)

If the weather permits you will also go for a fishing trip on the last day.

If im not wrong you will also get to visit some of the other islands (one of them is the size of a football field)

So that summarises some of the stuff you will be doing if you go for the CIP

If you are interested in going, you can go to the general office and pick up a form which you MUST hand in by next wednesday.

For more info, you can ask your CIP REPS (Daryl, Taro)

This message was brought to you by HCC.

Geog Blog

Hey guys,
The Geography blog has been created, but its really ugly and boring.
http://JH401.blogspot.com

Being an IT dummy, I failed to fit the template in. So if anyone knows how to modify the codings and stuff like that, please see to it. I found 2 geog-ish layouts. Here are the links. I would really appreciate your help.

Much love,
Nurul.

Countdown

If your countdown to the fresh new year with so many changes to make and dreams to fulfill was pleasant, this one wont be. I will be counting down to the start of the new school year for the painful sake of reality hitting us straight in the face. School, my friends, is going to start, sigh. I have a feeling I should be optimistic about this... but oh well. We have only 4 days left to the re-opening of our chaotic lifestyles. Please do make full use of these 4 days. go have as much fun as you can!!!! But we as one-ders can make it through this year together! haha.

hello ppl:)

i'm nice.. so i shall post.. haha.. or else this blog will become far too stagnant.. and then err.. i don't know.. we'll all become anti social ppl? gahh.. i don't know what i'm talking about.. ignore me.. anyway.. so how's life ppl? hehe.. we're into mid-holidays now.. have you even touched your homework? smelt its scent perhaps? erm.. licked it? tasted it? ok fine.. did you even SEE it.. actually i don't think everyone has received it leh.. like cos most of it was given out on the last day of school.. so yeaaaaaaaaa.. HAHA.. kk.. and if you ppl have already completed ALL of your homework (omg. muggershit.. grr) and are bored to tears.. here's a compilation of chandel's top 10 do-it-if-you're-bored activities (gosh.. my vocabulary is getting grosser by the day)

#10:
go to YOUTUBE and watch IT STARTED WITH A KISS and THEY KISS AGAIN.. be sure to refrain from rushing through the episodes cos you'll lose ALOT of sleep and you won't have anything to do after that.. just don't finish both dramas within a week.. can u imagine watching 50 episodes in a week? i can.. and it really sucks when you have nothing to watch after engaging in a hardcore drama marathon for 7 days..

#9:
go to the ZOO.. visit those adorable animals.. HAHA.. take a pic with each animal.. like every single one of them.. i think that'll take you AT LEAST one whole day.. then you can go study those BIG BROWN signboards.. i rmb doing that in p3.. for that zoologist badge thingy.. HAHAHA.. i rmb the erm malayan sunbear.. kk.. whatever

#8:
erm.. go to jurong east mcdonald's to look for wendy pang? i don't know.. i think the macs is closing down for renovations very soon so if you wana catch a glimpse of her.. you gotta hurry.. LOL..

#7:
sign up for some funny course.. i don't know.. sushi making? maybe.. then after you have mastered the art of making the nice rice(it rhymes) and putting salmon on it.. be sure to treat me k! HAHA,.. I LOVEEEEEEEEE SALMON SUSHI.. AUDIE LOVES IT TOO.. haha.

#6:
prank call everyone on your phone list and tell them how much you love them.. haha.. i mean.. wouldn't it be nice if you were to receive a phone call from a friend you haven't heard from in years.. and the first thing you hear is, "i just wanna tell you how much i love you" haha.. aww.. so sooweet... i mean.. its of utmost importance to know the value of appreciation.. its not everyday when you can wake up and go, 'oh.. its a beautiful day and i can take everything for granted cos it'll always be there for me!' sometimes, it just won't ok.. so pick up your phone.. *call me first*

#5:
ppl who always ignore your emails and let them pile up.. do go clear them.. because there might just be impt stuff there waiting for you to read them.. haha.. like err.. facebook information? friendster info? i odn't know.. or maybe ur kindergarten classmate is organising a reunion bbq at his/her house and u're gonna miss it cos u simply don't read ur emails (though ppl normally communicate through msn if they have emails)

#4:
clean your bedroom/wardrobe or whatever space that is considered your personal territory.. lol..
but i guess since 01 ppl are clean ppl.. we shouldn't have any problems with messy bedrooms, should we?

#3:
go find someone to idolise or go gaga over.. then spend like the whole week googling on that person.. LOL.. i tried that.. freaking effective.. haha.. you'd find fascinating stuff.. things that you'd nvr imagine.. HAHA.. did you know that the author of the crucible was actually the ex husband of marilyn monroe? and we're gonna study his play next year.. HAHA.. so cool!

#2
GO OUT LIKE MAD TILL YOU CAN WALK AROUND SINGAPORE WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED.. haha.. you know amy and i walked from esplanade to city hall to dhoby gaut to somerset to orchard.. next time, try to walk from your house to a near by place.. then walk to a nearby place near that nearby place.. then walk to a place near the nearby place near that nearby place.. and yada yada yada.. after like a few hours, you'd realise you've walked to like orchard or smth.. HAHA.. its good exercise..

#1:
what can i say.. mug lor.. mug till you become singapore's brainiest kid.. i almost type brianiest.. haha.. let me come up with a haiku abt mugging..

mugging is damn fun
when you mug you don't see stars
you don't go kuku

ok. i'm done.. have a nice holiday ppl:) tata.
