Geog Blog

Hey guys,
The Geography blog has been created, but its really ugly and boring.
http://JH401.blogspot.com

Being an IT dummy, I failed to fit the template in. So if anyone knows how to modify the codings and stuff like that, please see to it. I found 2 geog-ish layouts. Here are the links. I would really appreciate your help.

http://www.blogskins.com/apply.php?sid=66076&action=Preview

i like this one though:

hehe, please... really need help with this kinda stuff. Oh, and it would be really awesome if you guys could start posting if you are supposed to.

Much love,
Nurul.

Countdown

If your countdown to the fresh new year with so many changes to make and dreams to fulfill was pleasant, this one wont be. I will be counting down to the start of the new school year for the painful sake of reality hitting us straight in the face. School, my friends, is going to start, sigh. I have a feeling I should be optimistic about this... but oh well. We have only 4 days left to the re-opening of our chaotic lifestyles. Please do make full use of these 4 days. go have as much fun as you can!!!! But we as one-ders can make it through this year together! haha.

hello ppl:)

i'm nice.. so i shall post.. haha.. or else this blog will become far too stagnant.. and then err.. i don't know.. we'll all become anti social ppl? gahh.. i don't know what i'm talking about.. ignore me.. anyway.. so how's life ppl? hehe.. we're into mid-holidays now.. have you even touched your homework? smelt its scent perhaps? erm.. licked it? tasted it? ok fine.. did you even SEE it.. actually i don't think everyone has received it leh.. like cos most of it was given out on the last day of school.. so yeaaaaaaaaa.. HAHA.. kk.. and if you ppl have already completed ALL of your homework (omg. muggershit.. grr) and are bored to tears.. here's a compilation of chandel's top 10 do-it-if-you're-bored activities (gosh.. my vocabulary is getting grosser by the day)

#10:
go to YOUTUBE and watch IT STARTED WITH A KISS and THEY KISS AGAIN.. be sure to refrain from rushing through the episodes cos you'll lose ALOT of sleep and you won't have anything to do after that.. just don't finish both dramas within a week.. can u imagine watching 50 episodes in a week? i can.. and it really sucks when you have nothing to watch after engaging in a hardcore drama marathon for 7 days..

#9:
go to the ZOO.. visit those adorable animals.. HAHA.. take a pic with each animal.. like every single one of them.. i think that'll take you AT LEAST one whole day.. then you can go study those BIG BROWN signboards.. i rmb doing that in p3.. for that zoologist badge thingy.. HAHAHA.. i rmb the erm malayan sunbear.. kk.. whatever

#8:
erm.. go to jurong east mcdonald's to look for wendy pang? i don't know.. i think the macs is closing down for renovations very soon so if you wana catch a glimpse of her.. you gotta hurry.. LOL..

#7:
sign up for some funny course.. i don't know.. sushi making? maybe.. then after you have mastered the art of making the nice rice(it rhymes) and putting salmon on it.. be sure to treat me k! HAHA,.. I LOVEEEEEEEEE SALMON SUSHI.. AUDIE LOVES IT TOO.. haha.

#6:
prank call everyone on your phone list and tell them how much you love them.. haha.. i mean.. wouldn't it be nice if you were to receive a phone call from a friend you haven't heard from in years.. and the first thing you hear is, "i just wanna tell you how much i love you" haha.. aww.. so sooweet... i mean.. its of utmost importance to know the value of appreciation.. its not everyday when you can wake up and go, 'oh.. its a beautiful day and i can take everything for granted cos it'll always be there for me!' sometimes, it just won't ok.. so pick up your phone.. *call me first*

#5:
ppl who always ignore your emails and let them pile up.. do go clear them.. because there might just be impt stuff there waiting for you to read them.. haha.. like err.. facebook information? friendster info? i odn't know.. or maybe ur kindergarten classmate is organising a reunion bbq at his/her house and u're gonna miss it cos u simply don't read ur emails (though ppl normally communicate through msn if they have emails)

#4:
clean your bedroom/wardrobe or whatever space that is considered your personal territory.. lol..
but i guess since 01 ppl are clean ppl.. we shouldn't have any problems with messy bedrooms, should we?

#3:
go find someone to idolise or go gaga over.. then spend like the whole week googling on that person.. LOL.. i tried that.. freaking effective.. haha.. you'd find fascinating stuff.. things that you'd nvr imagine.. HAHA.. did you know that the author of the crucible was actually the ex husband of marilyn monroe? and we're gonna study his play next year.. HAHA.. so cool!

#2
GO OUT LIKE MAD TILL YOU CAN WALK AROUND SINGAPORE WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED.. haha.. you know amy and i walked from esplanade to city hall to dhoby gaut to somerset to orchard.. next time, try to walk from your house to a near by place.. then walk to a nearby place near that nearby place.. then walk to a place near the nearby place near that nearby place.. and yada yada yada.. after like a few hours, you'd realise you've walked to like orchard or smth.. HAHA.. its good exercise..

#1:
what can i say.. mug lor.. mug till you become singapore's brainiest kid.. i almost type brianiest.. haha.. let me come up with a haiku abt mugging..

mugging is damn fun
when you mug you don't see stars
you don't go kuku

ok. i'm done.. have a nice holiday ppl:) tata.

heya! :)

umm, yeah... HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

gahh I can't believe the year has passed so quickly. I still remember the fun we had during orientation - the barbeque, the dance party and all, the sitting in the canteen together, the chatting, the gossiping, the nagging about our hairstyles and attire, the spotchecks, the complaining about obs and swimming pe and the hostel, and of course, the projects, the homework, the stressss, the seventeen modules we had to go through, and all of the umm... very interesting enrichment programmes. But woots! we made it!!! And we made it alive :)

yup, but holidays also mean that the scholars are going home... which is sad cos it means that like half of 01 is going to just disappear for two and a half months. so, yup, a very sad goodbye to all of you scholars... sayonara till january... unless you're coming back to singapore, of course.

and oh yeah, i know this is random, but i should say it anyway. i have the extras for the science worksheets, so if you were absent on wednesday, and you don't know who has your homework/no one kept it for you/the worksheets got lost/your homework got eaten by the dog/cat, you can either photocopy it from some other person who has it/ask me to scan it for you/ask me to pass them to you. just to confirm: if i am not wrong, everyone should get one IS1109 the Moving World - holiday homework (kinematics), one IS1102 Atoms to Matter - end of year consolidation exercises, one IS2101 Foundational Mechanics I - holiday self-reading and practice, and one IS2101 Foundational Mechanics I - reading materials: metric mishap causes loss of NASA orbiter. you should also get one IS1109 checklist and two pre-tests. so you should get seven umm... things altogether.

haiz... this just reminds me that it's not over and we're still going to have to mug...

but anyway, jia you 01! someday, we shall achieve that goal of being one of the top three classes. and oh yes, good luck to all ogl applicants too! and for everyone, enjoy your holidays, rot on the couch, gain weight, mug, whatever.

BYE

audieee :)

hello ppl:)

okok.. i shall be nice and revive the blog.. i'm awesome.. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA..
hmm.. what should i say? oh.. ok.. 2 more days of school and we're free.. HEHE.. and right, the scholars can finally go home and meet their family.. YAY! buy me gifts ok.. haha.. this year has seriously been really really really really really really really really great! i think. haha.. yea la.. with all you nice ppl.. how can the year not be nice.. omg.. i'm sucking up to my classmates.. ignore me.. gahh.. i seriously don't know what to do.. ok.. i shall write a crap poem for the class..

thanks for being there for me
when we began this eye pee journey
the joyous laughters, the heartfelt tears
were things i haven't seen in years

through time, we've bonded
crossing boundaries, out of comfort
such friendships how priceless and precious
dearly i treasure our togetherness

we'd done the bio assignment
that sea creature looking like an elephant
unpractical, onlookers would chide
we were in fact beaming with pride.

the geography video was fascinating
albeit a tad too mind boggling
while studying all we had to know about landforms
some were filming in the nanyang dorm

the math poster we created
was a work of art i would have murdered
it looked so pretty aesthetically
as it showcased topics innovatively.

assessment week then inched its way
closer and closer .. D DAY
we mugged and cheered for each other loads
with the colourful encouragement notes

now that all these have come to an end
it is of no surprise i feel like sand
that teeny grain all alone
without company, all day i'd groan

then when everyone finally goes awwwwwwwwwww
this is the conclusion that i'd draw
01 people are not just sexy
we are a BIG and CUDDLY family:)

haha.. ok.. crap.. the poem's quite shitty.. haha.. who cares.. it's the thought that counts ok.. lol.. alright then.. i have filled up enough space.. tata

pictures

O.K., i seriously don't know how to blog, so my pictures are all tumbled up unintendedly. So, don't blame me if you have trouble understanding the sequence. (next time i'll just send to Charmaine for posting them).

Jude and Liang Jie preparing for the SPIRE presentation. (or are they just chatting?)

More practice...

Is this Hazel's new de-stress therapy?

Ah... I hope you remember our 7-up champion, Liang Jie, during his battle against the "genius" Minh. Be proud of yourself, liang jie!

Taro getting hyper because of 7-up.

Liang Jie before his presentation.

ah... more practice for spire...

(no need title for this, you all know what's going on...)

Well, I'm glad spire's over and now we just have enjoy our life then.
Looking forward to your job shadowing presentation on Monday!
cheers,
Amy
