Ok. So we contacted the organization (Pertapis Children's Home), and they say that we can start in July. So can we decide on a date in July, like 2nd July, 3rd July, or a week, maybe 2nd -7th july to start? We need to reply the people ASAP, so can everyone just um, comment your approval of the project and the preferred date to go down to the organization to start the project? Your coorperation will be very much appreciated.

2. Entre Day
House to set up 5 stores of at least 3 varieties, Food, Games and Merchandise. We've selected Games, so think up of suggestions of how to make the Games fun and interesting, and attractive. 21 April.

Road Run

Hey everyone, I scanned the papers that were given to me at the road run briefing on Tuesday. They contain some info that could be useful, so please read them. The first paper, the blue one, is the publicity poster and it's supposed to be on the notice board, but since not all of us use that classroom frequently, there's not much point in doing that.

The 2nd and 3rd papers are safety instructions. Sorry the order is wrong, but it doesn't really matter. Just read both pages.

For the last one, please take note, especially the part about the number tags. Be careful with them or you might end up having to pay $50.
So there you have the instructions for road run. Please take note of them and have a good run. Also, it might be too late to say this, but please fill at least a few blanks on the card that was given to us by PAACT. Everyone please find someone to donate, and please don't just bring back blank cards. Remember to bring those cards tomorrow to pass to the PAACT booth in the canteen. Thanks =)

SH1 Tours Student Helpers Signup info

Hi peeps, this is my very first entry for this blog :D

Okay, so wth is this about?
Open Day 2010 is coming up and it lasts from 11-18 january. Hence they are asking for helpers to help (of course!). And CIP will be awarded as well :D.

There are 3 jobs for u to choose:
1. Tour guides: guide people around
2. Ushers: provide direction/assistance
3: Logistics helpers: help packing and distribution of goodie bags and other miscellaneous things

Apart from Logistics helpers, the other two will have trainings during 13/11 to 8/1 so ensure you are free during that period.

Each class must have a MINIMUM of 4 helpers so if ur interested, do sms me (Quang) by today (20/10) and tell me your job preferences!

Note: Unfortunately, those who are councillor or helpers for JH orientation can NOT sign up for this (trainings may overlap).

Booklet I Last 3 pieces of paper, on Meiosis Simulation and a table comparing Meiosis and Mitosis.
Booklet II page 5-8, questions on Meiosis.

If you have any beads from the Mitosis/Meiosis Simulation in class still, pass them to me on Monday or Mrs. Ten on Tuesday.

If anyone has a burning desire to help the class with the NE class activity for National Day, pls. inform me by today, or you will be stuck at the mercy of my severely lacking artistic ability.

PROBLEMS

Main problem: too much electricity wasted at night.

Underlying problem: safety of the students.

WAYS TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM

1. Switch on alternate lights
2. Students have to leave the school premises by 10pm. Make announcement.
3. Grill up the stairwells
4. Come up with a new system. (HWA CHONG STYLE- tapping card)
5. Auto lights (toilets)
6. Switch off the façade light.
7. Lock the main gate earlier (10pm)
8. Switch off the tennis court lights
9. Remove the lights at the back of the sanctuary
10. Apply for lights to be switched on during camps
11. Earlier (really) shutdown days. (Fridays)
12. Only occupy one block of classrooms
13. Buy fake cheap CCTV only $5 (to deter potential criminals)
14. Fix the gates so that people cannot climb over or crawl over the gates.
15. Get guards to patrol (cycle) around the school at night.

Next up we'll do the problem matrices, like fond ol' days of FPS.

oh man.. this blog hasn't been updated since 25th june.. eh wasn't that the day michael jackson passed away? oh yea.. he was a great man. seriously. let's observe one minute of silence in honour of this king of pop.

anyway.. so.. class outing's next tuesday. when we'll MOST PROBABLY not have school.

and movieing. don't ask me what movie.. cos i really don't know. most prob ice age 3 though.
anything else you feel like doing? like errr.. mugging? or visiting the museum or anything? tag ah.

there might be a movie session monday afternoon as well. i think they're watching obsessed. Nurul says all are invited. so if you feel really bored and accomplished after doing all your homework like a guai kia like how i feel now, then yea.. go la! eh wait. this reminds me. i haven't done chem yet. shit. ok. but i still feel more or less accomplished.

yes class tshirt. i know we;ve been talking abt this for the past year. and recently, hazel and i have decided on how the back of the tshirt could look like. you know the crossword puzzle thingy that i did on the board today? ok if you didn't see it nvm.. ask me for my bio book.. i drew it cos i was too bored listening to mrs ten drone on and on abt the anaphase. yea.. its like this crossword puzzle with all our names on it. haha.. tag too to tell me if you like it or if it sucks.

yes.. and there's make up obs in mid august.. is it the 17th? anyway.. yea.. so remember to do your medical checkups if you opted to do it outside.. and HAHAHAHAHAHA.. when you al are back from obs.. you'll all be black as charcoal.. and guess what? we'll be taking class photos the next day! awesome! thank god i sleepwalk and i have eczema:D for once i really really love my skin.

k then.. there's nothing else to talk abt and i've filled up enough space. have a nice life.

1) Everyone is to log onto KM Student Centre and follow Mr Low Chun Meng's (vice-principal) instructions. This involves "updating your travel history on KM by 0900 h, Friday, 26 Jun 2009. It is important that everyone updates the information on time. Please spread the words around to your classmates and schoolmates whom you know. For JH students, please go to Collaboration > Travel History Update Main > Travel History Update Junior High. (https://km.njc.edu.sg/C4/C11/Travel%20History%20Update/default.aspx)"

2) Please fill in the attached travel declaration form and submit it according to scenarios (2a) or (2b) below.

(2a) If you have travelled to affected areas and have only returned to Singapore within 22st June to 27th June, stay at home for 7 days. You will be granted a Leave of Absence (LOA). Do not come to school. Email the form back to me before Monday morning.

(2b) If you have not travelled to affected areas throughout the holidays, submit your travel declaration to me during assembly on Monday 29/06/09

3) BRING YOUR THERMOMETERS DAILY, starting on Monday 29/6 (Assembly). Be prepared for extra temperature taking and other changes to school procedures.
